Summary
- Youth confesses to strangling neighbor's eight-year-old son.
- Accused also admits to killing the elder brother a year ago.
- Land dispute and belief in black magic drove revenge motive.

In Sabarkantha's Samlapur village, a shocking double murder case has come to light. Savanji Thakor, 20, was arrested on August 24 for the alleged strangulation of his eight-year-old neighbor, Keval. Police investigations led to the discovery of Keval's body in a village well.
During interrogation, Thakor reportedly confessed to an even more disturbing crime: the murder of Keval's elder brother, Amit, 12, approximately one year ago. Amit's death had previously been registered as an accidental death case involving a check dam. Authorities have since opened a new murder case for Amit's death.
The escalating violence is reportedly rooted in a protracted land dispute between the Thakor families. Police revealed that Thakor harbored a belief that the victim's father, Arvind Thakor, had employed black magic against his family over the land. Driven by this conviction and a desire for retribution, Thakor allegedly targeted both of Arvind's sons within a span of one year.
