A stabbing incident in the heart of York has led to the arrest of two men. The event unfolded in the early hours of Sunday morning, around 01:00 GMT, within the confines of Lady Peckett's Yard, a narrow passageway off Pavement.
North Yorkshire Police attended the scene and subsequently arrested two individuals. One of the men involved sustained injuries during the incident and is presently receiving treatment in hospital, reported to be in a stable condition. The other arrested man has been released pending further police inquiries.
Investigators are keen to identify and speak with the driver and passengers of a dark Toyota Corolla taxi. This vehicle reportedly picked up a fare directly outside a nearby Pizza Hut at approximately 12:40 GMT and may possess crucial information regarding the stabbing.
