A shocking incident unfolded at a manufacturing unit in Greater Noida's Rabupura area on Tuesday, June 18, 2026, when a 22-year-old factory worker sustained critical internal injuries. The worker is reportedly battling for his life after two colleagues allegedly used compressed air, forcing it into his body via his rectum. This act, purportedly a prank, led to severe intestinal damage.
The victim, who works as a daily wage labourer at an FMCG flexible packaging factory, was allegedly sweeping the factory floor when the assault occurred around noon. The accused allegedly utilized an air pipe from a compressed-air machine, typically used for cleaning, to perpetrate the harmful act. Factory staff promptly transported the injured worker to a private hospital after he complained of severe abdominal pain and began bleeding.
Authorities have confirmed that the two accused individuals, one of whom is the victim's cousin, have been apprehended and charged with attempted murder under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Preliminary investigations suggest that similar incidents may have occurred previously between the involved parties. The accused reportedly stated that Tuesday's event was intended as a prank that unfortunately escalated with grave consequences. The victim remains in critical condition and on ventilator support, with doctors indicating potential surgery may be necessary.
