Bobbie Goodman, now 21, has spoken out about the terrifying moment her then-boyfriend, Jordan Herring, threw her from a fourth-floor window in Solihull. The attack, stemming from Herring's jealousy, left Bobbie with a collapsed lung, shattered pelvis, and broken spine. Herring initially misled police, falsely claiming Bobbie had jumped from the Merton House flat.
CCTV captured Bobbie's fall onto a grass verge. She spent a month in intensive care and several more months in a wheelchair. Herring, 22, was recently convicted of GBH at Birmingham Crown Court, though cleared of attempted murder. He will be sentenced next month, over three years after his arrest.
Bobbie described the long wait for justice as dehumanizing and a constant struggle. She has undergone significant physical and mental recovery, still dealing with physical pain and memory lapses. She hopes her story will encourage others to leave toxic relationships, recalling early signs of coercive behaviour she initially overlooked.
