On July 13, 2026, a 30-year-old woman was sentenced to four years in prison for a shooting that occurred in July 2025. Wanda I. Rosa Collazo received this sentence in Marathon County Circuit Court.
Rosa Collazo pleaded guilty to first-degree recklessly endangering safety, a reduced charge from attempted homicide. She also admitted to possessing an electronic weapon and endangering safety by reckless use of a firearm. The court credited her with 192 days already served and ordered five years of extended supervision.
The incident involved Rosa Collazo firing at a vehicle carrying the victim and her friends as they left an Abbotsford home in July 2025. The victim reported hearing two shots as they drove away. Surveillance video from a nearby company confirmed Rosa Collazo exited a home, approached the departing vehicle with a gun, and fired towards it.
Following the shooting, officers attempted to stop Rosa Collazo on July 6, 2025, but she fled before being apprehended. Her vehicle contained a pistol, ammunition, an electronic weapon, marijuana, and tools potentially linked to another case.
