Tech Pro Outsmarts Romance Scammer for 9 Months

A savvy fraud expert, Tracy Cray, successfully thwarted a romance scammer over a nine-month period. She identified the operation as an 'industrial' system with multiple individuals, emotional scripts, and shift patterns. Cray, a tech professional, became suspicious within days of meeting 'Richy' on a dating site, noting his suspicious requests and constant declarations of love.

Cray's expertise allowed her to quickly identify the scammer's tactics, including the use of stolen images of an American businessman. The scammer's attempts to solicit money after a fabricated business trip failure were ultimately unsuccessful. Frustrated by the persistent requests for personal details, Cray eventually revealed she knew it was a scam, prompting the scammer's surprised sign-off: "Bless you."
