A shocking incident of murder, driven by jealousy and betrayal, unfolded in Kotamma Gudi Colony, Nellore district, on Sunday. A 35-year-old widow, identified as Nagabhushanamma, was allegedly killed by Yashoda, a married woman, after discovering her husband's affair with the victim.
Sources indicate that Nagabhushanamma, widowed four years prior, had developed a relationship with Yashoda's husband, Nagaraju. Despite Yashoda's repeated pleas for him to end the affair, Nagaraju refused, causing significant marital discord. Taking advantage of Nagaraju's absence on Saturday, Yashoda reportedly invited Nagabhushanamma to her residence under the guise of reconciliation.
However, the meeting escalated into a violent confrontation. Yashoda allegedly used an iron rod to strike Nagabhushanamma, resulting in her immediate death. Yashoda then fled the scene. Kota police have registered a murder case, secured the crime scene, and sent the victim's body for post-mortem. A manhunt has been launched to apprehend Yashoda.
