A woman in Westmoreland County is facing serious charges, including endangering the welfare of children, after allegedly providing psychedelic mushrooms to minors. The investigation began in April when caseworkers from Children and Youth Services contacted police.
Authorities reported that Christa Kuhns, 35, was the driver of a vehicle when children were filmed hanging out of the windows and sitting in the door frames. This incident followed Kuhns offering mushrooms to several minors during a camping trip earlier in 2026. The children described feeling delusional after consuming the substances.
During a search of Kuhns' Greensburg residence, police discovered a firearm with three loaded magazines, residue confirmed to be psilocin, marijuana pipes, and three THC vapes. She has been charged with endangerment, drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
