The accused, identified as Vijay Ragav, allegedly stared at her and then asked for her 'price,' offering ₹10,000 for sexual favors.
Responding swiftly, the woman recorded the vendor on her mobile phone. Upon realizing he was being filmed, Ragav reportedly fled the scene on his scooter. The woman later uploaded the video to Instagram, where it quickly gained traction and went viral, prompting police to contact her.
Following her formal complaint, police tracked down and arrested Ragav. Despite his claims of a different account, police stated that the act of asking a woman's price and offering money constitutes an offense. The woman expressed her determination to fight public harassment, stating that women should feel safe waiting for transportation without being objectified or propositioned.
