A tragic car accident in Noida's Sector 51 has resulted in the death of 26-year-old Radha Chauhan, a resident of New Kondli. The incident, which occurred earlier this week, followed a dispute between Chauhan and her fiancé, Shiva Tyagi. The relationship had reportedly soured due to Radha's suspicions of Tyagi's infidelity.
On March 30, an altercation ensued when Radha confronted Tyagi. According to her brother's complaint, Tyagi, allegedly intoxicated, forcibly drove Radha and another woman away in his car. Unidentified youths in two separate cars reportedly pursued them. Near the Sector 51 metro station, one of the pursuing vehicles allegedly rammed Tyagi's car, causing it to crash into a road divider.
Radha sustained severe injuries and was initially hospitalized in Noida before being transferred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, where she succumbed to her injuries on April 1. Her family is demanding stringent action against all involved parties. Police have registered a case under sections related to rash driving and causing death by negligence, and are reviewing witness statements and CCTV footage.
