Woman Brutally Assaulted by Live-in Partner Over Phone Call

A disturbing incident of assault against a woman was reported from Edhira village in Rangareddy district. The 34-year-old victim, who had been in a live-in relationship for four years following her husband's death, was allegedly attacked by her partner on the night of April 13.
Her partner reportedly became enraged over perceived phone calls, snatched her mobile, and assaulted her. When she went to his farmhouse to retrieve her phone, the accused and his son allegedly attacked her again. The son is accused of tying her up, tearing her blouse, and beating her with a stick and pipe, causing significant injuries.
Two villagers arrived and allegedly urged a settlement before elders. The victim lost consciousness near a school while being taken towards the village. Police have registered a case based on her statement and arrested four individuals.
