On Saturday, November 18th, 2025, a witness recorded video of a shooting incident that left two teenagers injured in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood. The witness, who wished to remain anonymous and was identified only as "J", was driving to his girlfriend's home around 5:40 p.m. when he noticed a group of about 20 young men arguing near Riverside Park.
The argument quickly escalated, and one person in the crowd started shooting, seemingly to disperse the group. J heard five gunshots within a minute and saw everyone run off. Shortly after, police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the area and found a crime scene with shell casings, but no victims.
Authorities later received calls about two teenagers who had been shot - a 17-year-old girl who was shot in the shoulder and a 16-year-old boy who was grazed by a bullet. Both were transported to the hospital and are expected to recover.
Miami Police spokesman Officer Mike Vega stated that the department is trying to identify the shooter and is urging anyone with information to come forward. Vega said the incident is concerning, as the victims were teenagers, and the police are investigating what led to the altercation.
