In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, police arrested Mile Dukic on February 5, 2026, in connection with the fatal stabbing of Amanda Varisco, 44. Officers discovered Varisco unresponsive in their shared apartment after responding to a call. Dukic, 39, reportedly confessed to stabbing Varisco multiple times after an argument escalated.
Dukic allegedly sent disturbing texts to Varisco's daughter, informing her that he believed he had killed her mother. He cited Varisco's alleged disrespect and communication with another man as reasons for his actions. The daughter and her boyfriend, after receiving these texts, immediately contacted emergency services.
During questioning, Dukic stated that he and Varisco were not in a romantic relationship but had a sexual arrangement. He admitted to punching Varisco and then using a knife to stab her approximately 22 times in the chest and torso. Varisco sustained defensive wounds on her hands and arms.
Dukic faces charges of first-degree intentional homicide and two counts of bail jumping. Court documents reveal prior felony charges against him, including stalking, for which he was out on bail. The case is currently under review by the Milwaukee District Attorney's office.
