Jayson Barker, a janitor employed by a vendor at Wilmington College, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with 11 counts of voyeurism. Barker was apprehended after a member of the women's soccer team discovered him hiding in the ceiling of the Scheve Athletic Center's locker room, reportedly taking photos of the team members while they changed. Campus security detained Barker until local police arrived and took him into custody. He was subsequently held on $22,000 bail at a local jail but has since been released after posting the required amount. In response to the incident, Wilmington College stated that the safety and well-being of its students are paramount. The college has terminated its relationship with the custodial services contractor and is providing support services to the affected students. Investigators are currently working to determine if Barker has a history of similar offenses, and he may face additional charges. His next court appearance is scheduled for October 5th.
