A "lady don" with 11 prior cases against her, identified as Mintu Choudhary alias Seema Choudhary, 41, had been missing for 15 months. Her son initially reported her disappearance on July 21 of the previous year, stating her phone was off and she could not be traced.
Authorities recently received crucial information suggesting Mintu had not disappeared but was murdered by her husband, Lala Ram Choudhary, 42, and their son, Hari Om Choudhary, 20. Both father and son were subsequently arrested.
Investigators discovered Mintu Choudhary's decomposed remains in a deep, dry well near Achrawala village. The accused allegedly wrapped her body in a blanket, transported it by auto at night, and disposed of it in the isolated well to conceal the crime.
Conflicting stories about Mintu's whereabouts, including claims she was in Tihar or Bharatpur Jail, were used to deceive relatives. The breakthrough occurred when Lala Ram allegedly confided in an acquaintance while intoxicated that he had killed his wife. This information was passed along until it reached the police, leading to the father and son's detention and confession.
