Summary
- A Bareilly marriage ended tragically with the husband's strangulation.
- Post-mortem revealed strangulation, not suicide, as the cause of death.
- Wife and her family allegedly staged the scene to appear as suicide.

A marriage in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, concluded tragically two months after the wedding with the husband's death. Jitendra Kumar Yadav, 33, was found hanging in a rented house, initially reported as a suicide. However, a post-mortem examination determined the cause of death to be strangulation.
Police investigations revealed that Jitendra's wife, Jyoti, along with her parents and brother, allegedly restrained him during a physical altercation. Jyoti then reportedly strangled her husband. The family subsequently staged the scene to resemble a suicide by hanging.
The couple had been in a relationship for nine years before marrying on November 25 of the previous year. Disputes over money, specifically Jitendra losing ₹20,000 from Jyoti's account through online gambling, reportedly soured the relationship weeks after the wedding.
