Pilibhit: A murder case has been filed against a 30-year-old woman and six relatives following the discovery of her husband's body. Avdesh Kumar, 35, was found Saturday morning on the Pandewari-Chhapaura road in Kheri district, his head brutally beaten with bricks.
The victim had reportedly been visiting his wife, Juli Devi, at her maternal home on Friday evening. While returning home on his motorcycle later that night, he was allegedly intercepted and attacked. The investigation is considering marital disputes and Avdesh Kumar's recent release from jail in 2024, where he served time for the murder of his father-in-law's elder brother, as potential motives for the crime.
Avdesh's brother-in-law filed the complaint, noting the couple's ongoing marital issues. Juli Devi and their four-year-old son had been living with her parents for the past three years. Police have registered an FIR and legal action will proceed based on the investigation's findings.
