Six men have been handed lengthy prison sentences for their involvement in operating five commercial cannabis farms throughout West Yorkshire. Specific locations included a house at 192 Alverthorpe Road, where 96 cannabis plants and 20kg of cannabis were found, and Newgate House in Pontefract, a former office block converted into a multi-room factory producing 250kg of cannabis.
Further raids at Wakefield Commercial Park and Beckbridge Industrial Estate uncovered more grow sites. A fifth property at Moldgreen Top in Huddersfield yielded 983 plants and 100kg of cannabis. The sentences ranged from eight months to 39 months imprisonment.
