A wedding in Gorakhpur district turned deadly on Tuesday night when a dispute over loud music erupted into violence. The incident occurred in Harijanpur village, where a 24-year-old guest, Munib Chauhan, sustained fatal injuries during a scuffle.
Eyewitnesses report that an argument over the DJ's music volume between two groups quickly devolved into a physical fight. Munib was critically injured and lost consciousness at the scene.
He was rushed to a local hospital but was declared dead by doctors due to his severe injuries. A complaint was filed by the deceased's sister, leading to an FIR against five people. Two individuals are in police custody for questioning, and efforts are underway to apprehend the others. The district police have assured strict action and increased security presence in the village.
