Violence erupted at a wedding in Ambagam village, Aravalli taluka, on Saturday night when a dispute over a hired DJ escalated. The wedding procession for Mayank Khant, son of local businessman Rajesh Khant, was proceeding near the Ambe Mataji temple when the incident occurred.
A group of men allegedly objected to an "outside DJ" being used for the festivities. According to a complaint filed by Rajesh Khant, the accused first tore the DJ's banner and then began throwing stones at the wedding procession without provocation.
The sudden attack resulted in two guests, Rahul Khant and Akash Khant, sustaining head injuries. Decorative lighting attached to the music system was also damaged. Fearing further violence, guests dispersed, and the injured were transported to Vatrak Hospital via ambulance.
Authorities were informed, and an investigation into the matter is expected. The complainant also alleged that the attackers hurled abuses and issued threats, warning against bringing a DJ system to the village again.
