30 Jul
Summary
- Man sentenced to 5.5 years for cutting another's throat.
- Victim initially claimed construction accident, later revealed drug use.
- Sentence includes amphetamine possession with intent to deliver.

Lee Xiong, 40, was sentenced on July 30, 2026, to 5 1/2 years in prison for severely injuring another man. The charges included recklessly endangering safety and amphetamine possession with intent to deliver. This sentence concluded a case stemming from an incident on October 17, 2023.
That day, a man arrived at Marshfield Medical Center with a deep throat laceration. He initially attributed the injury to a construction accident, but medical staff found his story inconsistent with the wound. Xiong later visited the injured man at the hospital, appearing to confirm the fabricated accident story.
Investigations revealed the victim's initial account was false. In January 2026, the victim confessed to police that he and Xiong, along with others, had been using drugs. He recounted an altercation where Xiong, believing someone had targeted him, used a box cutter to inflict the throat wound.
Following the sentencing, Xiong will serve 8 1/2 years of extended supervision. He was credited with 1,083 days already served. Additional charges were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
