Visalia Man Arrested for Stabbing During Argument

The arrest stems from a stabbing incident that occurred around 11 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2026. According to Visalia Police, the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with the suspect, which then escalated to a physical fight. During the altercation, Young allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the victim.
The victim was rushed to Kaweah Health for treatment and is reportedly recovering. Officers located and arrested Young in Coalinga on Thursday, August 28, 2026, and he was subsequently booked into the Tulare County jail. Visalia Police have increased their downtown presence following recent incidents and are working to finalize their investigation for submission to the District Attorney's office. Ian Young is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, August 31, 2026.
