Vet Dies After Alleging ₹1.40 Crore Fraud

A veterinary doctor, aged 52, allegedly died by suicide in his Gorakhpur apartment on Thursday morning. This incident followed a report filed on August 5, accusing a woman and her associates of defrauding him of ₹1.40 crore. The deceased, who worked in Maharajganj district, resided with his wife and two children in Rajendra Nagar.

Responding to a PRV-112 call around 9:40 am, officers found the doctor had fallen from his apartment. He was pronounced dead at a private hospital. Investigations are actively examining the alleged fraud case alongside the circumstances of his death. The woman implicated in the fraud and her father have been apprehended by authorities.
