Triple Arrest in Vaughan Double Shooting; Guns Found

Two men have been arrested and charged in relation to a fatal double shooting in Vaughan on May 13, as reported by York Regional Police. Officers responded to reports of gunshots at approximately 5:30 p.m. near Kaiser Drive and Forest Drive and discovered two men with multiple gunshot wounds.
Pasquale Casciato, 49, and Christian Belsito, 34, both residents of Vaughan, were pronounced deceased. Investigators have classified this incident as a targeted shooting. A blue SUV, believed to be involved in the crime, was later found abandoned and burned.
During recent searches, authorities seized a loaded gun and materials for making explosives from a Toronto home. Additional searches in Windsor and Hamilton yielded three more guns and an extended magazine. A 27-year-old Toronto man faces charges including two counts of first-degree murder and making explosives. A 55-year-old Windsor man is charged as an accessory after the fact to murder and arson. A warrant has been issued for Gerard Murray, 48, also wanted for murder and arson charges.
