The postmortem revealed swelling in the student's lungs, prompting the FIR. This tragedy has also exposed the Shree Hanumat Vidya Mandir's illegal operation of classes beyond its permitted level up to Class 8, along with inadequate infrastructure. The school allegedly continued to operate higher classes without proper permissions, even masking warning signs about its illegal structure.
Activists are questioning the civic body's prior actions, stating that earlier intervention could have prevented this unfortunate incident. Investigations by the education department and the Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation are underway, with authorities vowing to take action against all responsible parties.
