Hanuman Idol Vandalized in Varanasi Village

In Sathwa village, under the Sarnath police station in Varanasi, an idol of Lord Hanuman was desecrated by unidentified individuals on Monday night. The incident occurred on a platform beneath a tree on the outskirts of the village. Locals reported that the area is a known gathering spot for drug and liquor addicts, especially after dark, leading police to suspect their involvement.

Upon discovering the vandalism, where the idol was found broken into pieces, villagers gathered at the scene. Sarnath police arrived promptly, secured the broken fragments, and assured residents that the culprits would be identified and apprehended. Following this commitment, the villagers resolved to install a new idol at their own expense.
