A State Reserve Police (SRP) jawan has died by suicide in Vadodara, sending shockwaves through the city. The 44-year-old officer, Suman Rathwa, was found deceased at his residence on Sunday morning. Preliminary investigations suggest Rathwa had been battling a prolonged spinal ailment, which led him to take extended leave from duty for several months.
This marks the second such incident within a month, raising concerns among the police force. In early March, a woman constable also died by suicide. Rathwa is survived by his wife and four children, leaving his family devastated by the loss.
