One of two missing University of South Florida doctoral students has been discovered deceased. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office confirmed the remains found Friday on a bridge belong to Zamil Limon, a 27-year-old student from Bangladesh. Limon and Nahida Bristy, also 27 and from Bangladesh, were last seen separately near and on the USF campus around April 16.
Authorities have taken Hisham Abugharbieh, Limon's roommate and a 26-year-old US citizen, into custody. He faces charges including domestic violence, false imprisonment, tampering with evidence, and failure to report a death. Friends and family had raised concerns after being unable to contact the students.
The investigation is ongoing as detectives continue to follow leads related to their disappearance.
