A 19-year-old man's visit to his girlfriend's village in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district tragically ended in his death. The victim, Shiv Prasad, was allegedly assaulted by his girlfriend's family members on Thursday night. They reportedly used sticks and sharp-edged weapons, inflicting critical injuries. Shiv Prasad succumbed to his wounds while en route to the hospital.
His mother recounted a distressing call from her son, who pleaded for help and named his attackers, including the woman's father, mother, brothers, and grandfather. The victim's father has filed a formal complaint with the police. The girlfriend also sustained minor injuries during the incident and is reported to be in stable condition at the district hospital.
Authorities have registered a case based on the complaint. In response to the gravity of the situation, the Superintendent of Police directed the formation of three special investigation teams. These teams are actively working to apprehend the accused. As of the report, two suspects have been taken into custody for questioning, and the investigation is ongoing.
