An FIR was filed by Shrikant's mother, and an investigation revealed Sukhrani's alleged involvement. During interrogation, she reportedly confessed to plotting the murder due to her husband's suspicions, assaults, and alleged infidelity. She claims to have paid Rs 40,000 to Ankit Yadav and Mohit Singh to carry out the killing.
