Child Killers Enjoy 'Cosy Christmas' in UK Prison
6 Dec
Summary
- Inmates at HMP Bronzefield will participate in festive activities.
- Lucy Letby and other high-profile child killers are housed there.
- Charities are providing gifts and activities for prisoners.

This Christmas, high-profile inmates at HMP Bronzefield in Surrey, including convicted child killers Lucy Letby, Beinash Batool, and Constance Marten, are reportedly set to receive a range of festive comforts. The prison is offering activities such as opera workshops, with mince pies and chocolate on the menu. This comes despite the severity of their crimes.
Charitable organizations are also contributing to the festive atmosphere. Barnardo's is facilitating a 'Jailbirds' scheme for prisoners to create decorations and send free Christmas cards. Additionally, the charity PACT will provide gifts valued up to £20 for inmates to share with their families, alongside movie afternoons and quizzes throughout December.
Prisoners will also enjoy a traditional Christmas Day feast, including halal turkey and chicken with all the trimmings, followed by pudding or Yule log. Boxing Day will feature burgers and hot dogs. This extended period of enhanced activities and provisions has drawn criticism, with some viewing it as overly indulgent for individuals convicted of horrific offenses.
