A fugitive from Derbyshire, Spencer Dillon Lamb, has been arrested in Belgium. Lamb, 33, originally from the Swadlincote area, was wanted by the UK authorities for his alleged involvement in cultivating and supplying class A drugs. His alleged criminal activities took place between May 2020 and May 2021.
Belgian police detained Lamb in Brecht, a town in Belgium. The arrest occurred at a rental property. During the operation, law enforcement officials also seized drugs and a firearm from the premises.
Lamb had recently been placed on the National Crime Agency's 'most wanted' list. He is currently in custody in Belgium, and extradition proceedings are expected to commence to bring him back to the UK for prosecution.
The successful apprehension followed extensive collaborative efforts. This operation involved the Fugitives Active Search Team Belgium, local police, the National Crime Agency, and Derbyshire Police. Lamb's capture marks the 100th fugitive detained since Operation Captura began.
