Manipal police successfully apprehended four suspects and rescued a kidnapped individual in a swift, coordinated interstate operation. The arrested individuals, identified as Ramanath Shreenu, Mohan Ramavath, Paramesh, and Palthya Vijay, all from Telangana, were taken into custody on April 9.
The victim, Lakshman, was reportedly abducted on March 31 after an argument involving a business dispute. A special team, led by Manipal police inspector Mahesh Prasad, traced the accused to a lodge in Telangana, leading to their arrest.
Preliminary investigations suggest the kidnapping stemmed from a failure to return money collected for investment trading. The victim was safely rescued during the operation, which also involved the seizure of two vehicles used by the perpetrators. The investigation continues.
