Summary
- Tyrese Gibson's dogs allegedly killed neighbor's dog in Atlanta
- Arrest warrant issued for Gibson for alleged animal cruelty
- Gibson agreed to surrender dogs but then needed more time

As of October 1st, 2025, Tyrese Gibson, the popular actor known for his roles in the Fast & Furious franchise, is facing legal troubles after an incident involving his dogs in Atlanta, Georgia. According to reports, one of Gibson's neighbors, Harrison Parker, called 911 on September 18th, claiming that four of the actor's cane corso dogs had killed his own Cavalier King Charles spaniel.
The police investigation revealed that Gibson's dogs had been seen on camera "scratching at a door across the street" just minutes before the attack, which resulted in the death of Parker's 5-year-old dog within five minutes of being let out into the front yard. Authorities stated that in the week and a half leading up to the incident, Gibson's dogs had been reported "running loose on five occasions," and the actor had received multiple warnings from the Animal Services department.
On September 22nd, police said Gibson had initially agreed to surrender his dogs, but then requested more time to make a decision. In response, the authorities obtained a search warrant for Gibson's property and an arrest warrant for alleged cruelty to animals. However, when the police conducted the search, Gibson and the dogs were not present on the premises, as the actor had already made the "difficult decision to rehome his dogs to a safe and loving environment."
Gibson's lawyer, Gabe Banks, has stated that the actor is cooperating fully with the authorities to address and resolve this matter responsibly, and he has asked for privacy and understanding as the legal process unfolds.
