On November 14, 2025, authorities in Gimli, Manitoba are actively searching for two teenage girls who went missing in the past week. Sophie Shayna Leigh Martin, 15, was reported missing on November 8 from a home on Highway 9, while Nevaeh-Lee Michelle-Richards, 16, was reported missing from a residence on South Beach Road on November 10.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) believe the two girls are together and may be in the nearby cities of Selkirk or Winnipeg. Martin is described as 5'3" tall with a slim build, shoulder-length black hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing red-checkered fleece pajama pants, a grey hoodie, and black runners. Michelle-Richards is 5'8" tall, also with a slim build, long black hair with teal streaks, and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing pajama pants and a hoodie.
The authorities are urging anyone with information on the girls' whereabouts to contact the RCMP at 204-642-5104 or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers. The search for the missing teenagers is ongoing, and the community is being asked to assist in locating the two young women.
