Two Charged After Teen's Tragic Death

Two young men have appeared in court facing charges of supplying MDMA after a 15-year-old girl died. Lilly McCarthy fell ill at a home in Hopton, near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, on Saturday, January 24, and later died in hospital.
Kian Lockett, 18, and Nathan Laffitte, 19, have been charged with supplying a controlled drug. They appeared before Norwich Crown Court via prison video-link and are currently in custody. Prosecutors are considering additional charges pending post-mortem and toxicology reports.
A further court hearing is scheduled for April 24, when the court may be informed of any new charges. A provisional trial date has been set for July 27. Lilly's family described her as a "bright, happy and funny girl" whose loss has left their hearts broken.
