A series of WhatsApp conversations between Noida's Twisha Sharma and her mother have surfaced, shedding light on the alleged abuse she faced before her death. Twisha, 31, was found deceased at her marital home in Bhopal on May 12, 2026. Her family has accused her husband, Samarth Singh, and his family of sustained harassment, domestic violence, and physical abuse.
The chats, exchanged just five days before her death on May 7, 2026, show Twisha in deep distress. She repeatedly begged her mother to take her away, stating, "My life has become a living hell." She specifically mentioned her husband questioning her pregnancy, asking, "Samarth asks whose child I am carrying."
Twisha's mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, has countered these claims, alleging Twisha was a drug addict with mood swings. However, Twisha's cousin mentioned past substance abuse allegations against Samarth. Twisha's final known communication was an Instagram message to a friend, stating she was "trapped" and couldn't talk much.
Twisha was approximately two months pregnant at the time of her death. The case is being investigated by a Special Investigation Team (SIT), with legal proceedings underway against Samarth Singh and his mother, a retired judge. Protests have been staged by Twisha's family, demanding a court-monitored investigation.
