A horrific discovery was made in the south Perth suburb of Orelia when police found a man's body in the backyard of a home. Ashley Bruno Grillo, 29, has since been charged with one count of murder in connection with his twin brother's death.
Police were alerted to the home due to welfare concerns raised by a family member. Upon arrival on Saturday, authorities discovered the victim's body, which showed obvious injuries and is being treated as a suspected family violence homicide. Investigators have also secured blades from the residence that may have been used as weapons.
Grillo is currently being held at Fiona Stanley Hospital due to significant concerns for his mental health. He appeared in court via telephone on Saturday. His next court date is scheduled for Friday, October 16, when he is expected to be transferred to a specialized mental health facility.
