Summary

- The offender threatened to 'batter' the surgeon, causing significant fear.
- The surgeon feared for her own and her children's safety.

A transgender woman has been sentenced to 14 months in prison for stalking the surgeon who performed her gender reassignment surgery. Vivienne Taylor, 28, developed a fixation on consultant urological surgeon Tina Rashid over a four-year period.
Taylor's stalking campaign included appearing at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, sending unsolicited emails, and attempting to connect on LinkedIn. The surgeon reported experiencing daily anxiety and took extensive safety measures, including carrying a personal alarm and app.
She expressed fear for her own safety and that of her children, noting that Taylor's behavior affected her ability to operate safely. The judge highlighted a particularly "terrifying" threat made by Taylor in November 2025 to harm Rashid and a colleague.
Despite showing some remorse, Taylor's actions had a profound impact on Rashid's work and family life. The court imposed an exceptional, indefinite restraining order, requiring Taylor to seek court permission to have it lifted.
