She stated that one individual grabbed her neck, threw her to the ground, and punched her, while another then stomped on her face multiple times. This resulted in fractures, including a broken cheekbone, and significant medical costs.
Lilly and her girlfriend, Bailey Lewis, suspect the assault may have been a hate crime, citing comments made by the attackers that appeared to target Lilly because she is a trans woman. The couple has initiated a GoFundMe to cover Lilly's mounting medical expenses, therapy, and other recovery-related costs.
Fellowship Hall, the nonprofit recovery center where the event took place, stated that it merely provided the venue and did not organize the concert. The center expressed its sympathy for Lilly and affirmed its commitment to a safe and sober community, vowing full cooperation with the police investigation.
