The man, identified as Naveen, was staying at a friend's room while preparing for competitive exams. Naveen and his fiancée, Rushi, had been in a relationship for a long time and their marriage had already been fixed.
During the video call, Naveen suddenly made a noose with a rope, tied it to the ceiling fan, and hanged himself. His fiancée witnessed the tragic incident live and immediately raised an alarm. Police reached the spot after receiving the information and sent Naveen's body for a post-mortem examination.
According to the Haridwar City SP, Pankaj Gairola, Naveen and Rushi were engaged and had been in a relationship for quite some time. The police are investigating all aspects, including whether there was any quarrel or stress behind Naveen's drastic step. Statements from the fiancée and the families are being taken, and further investigation is ongoing.
