On November 10, 2025, a devastating incident occurred in Buxar, India, where a 30-year-old woman and her three children tragically lost their lives. According to the police, Savita Devi, her daughter Jyoti Kumari (5), son Akash Kumar (3), and youngest son Vikas Kumar (1) consumed pesticide tablets, leading to their untimely deaths.
The tragedy was sparked by a domestic dispute between Savita and her husband, Sunil Kumar, a mason. Savita had reportedly asked Sunil for two new phones, one for herself and another for her father. When Sunil refused, an argument ensued between the couple on November 9th. The following day, Savita asked Sunil to bring some pesticide tablets, which he did, thinking she intended to use them for rice storage.
Later that afternoon, Savita and the children were found unconscious on the floor by Sunil's sister-in-law. They were rushed to the hospital, but Savita and two of the children died during treatment. The one-year-old son, Vikas, was transferred to Patna Medical College and Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on November 11th.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident, and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Sunil and his sister-in-law have provided their statements to the authorities.
