On the evening of Sunday, November 16th, 2025, a tragic incident unfolded on the M66 near Manchester. According to the police, officers had initially spotted a blue BMW X3 driving at high speed on Bury Old Road and running a red light, prompting them to give chase. The pursuit continued until the officers lost sight of the vehicle, only to find it again on the Junction 18 roundabout of the M60 motorway.
It is believed the BMW had crashed into another vehicle at this point, and the passengers had fled the scene on foot.
