A broad daylight shooting tragically claimed the life of a 36-year-old hardware trader on Saturday morning. The victim, Upendra Kumar Singh, was on his scooter, having just dropped his two children at school, when he was attacked by three assailants on a motorcycle.
Authorities were called to the scene near the Sun Temple and Bihari Mill overbridge. Singh was shot at close range in the head and succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Ara Sadar Hospital.
Initial investigations, including discussions with Singh's mother, point towards a land dispute involving relatives in Badiha village as a possible motive. Police are actively seeking CCTV footage from the crime area to aid in identifying the perpetrators. The investigation is ongoing.
