Ananth's first victim was his colleague Ganesan, whom he bludgeoned to death in a drunken brawl in March 2018. While out on bail for this offense, he committed his second murder in October 2020, killing his supervisor Anbarasu with the assistance of an accomplice. A third murder followed swiftly in November 2020, when he again resorted to fatal violence in a drunken altercation.
The court's verdict also included a life sentence for Ilamparithi, Ananth's accomplice in the murder of Anbarasu. The judge ordered Ananth's three life sentences to be served concurrently, ensuring a strict consequence for his multiple violent acts.
