The second victim, a 68-year-old man visiting from Rhode Island, survived a stab wound to the abdomen and has since been released from the hospital. According to her father, Mario Cisneros, Pamela had been undergoing monthly injections for a mental illness and had a history of hospitalization for mental health crises. He noted her struggles became apparent after the birth of one of her children and expressed bewilderment at her actions, stating she was not a violent person.
