Estranged Wife Found Dead in Texas Apartment Trunk

Authorities in Texas arrested Jake Bigoni, 37, in connection with the death of his estranged wife, Eliana Bigoni. Her body was discovered Wednesday inside the trunk of a car at his apartment during a welfare check. The check was requested by a friend who became concerned when Eliana failed to arrive for a 8:30 a.m. breakfast meeting.

Police observed what appeared to be a blood stain on the suspect's shirt, which he claimed was from cleaning. Eliana Bigoni's body showed significant head and face trauma. The couple's two young children, aged 2 and 5, were in the apartment during the alleged murder and were not harmed. The couple was reportedly in the process of a divorce.

Jake Bigoni's mother contacted police, stating her son had called her and admitted to the killing. The suspect has a history of alleged violent behavior. He is currently being held without bond, facing murder and abuse of corpse charges.
