Authorities in Texas have uncovered human remains at a residence previously occupied by the family of Noel Alvarez, a 6-year-old boy who vanished over three years ago. Noel was last seen in November 2022 and was reported missing in March 2023. Investigators confirmed the boy's death in April 2023.
The human remains were recovered on Wednesday, May 13, at the home where Noel lived with his family. These remains are currently undergoing forensic examination and identification by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office. The investigation began when family members expressed concern for Noel and his siblings.
Noel's mother, Cindy Rodriguez-Singh, had allegedly referred to her son as "possessed" and feared he would harm her newborn twins. She initially told police he was with his father in Mexico. Shortly after, Rodriguez-Singh traveled to India with her children, leading to her placement on the FBI's Most Wanted list. She was apprehended in August 2025 and faces charges of capital murder and unlawful flight.
In March 2026, Rodriguez-Singh was found incompetent to stand trial and subsequently ordered to a state hospital for treatment. The ongoing forensic analysis aims to definitively identify the discovered remains, potentially bringing closure to the tragic case.
