Summary
- Couple allegedly conned at least three victims out of $2.5 million.
- Woman posed as 'Jolene Travis' offering psychic services online.
- Husband helped manage accounts in the elaborate three-year scheme.

A husband and wife from Texas are facing charges for allegedly operating a sophisticated fraud scheme that victimized at least three individuals, bilking them out of $2.5 million over a period of three years. The wife, operating under the alias Jolene Travis, advertised psychic services online, targeting people experiencing emotional distress or personal crises.
Travis allegedly built trust with her clients, then claimed their misfortunes were linked to financial curses. She convinced victims to hand over money and gold for a 'cleansing' process, promising their return, but kept the funds for herself. Her husband reportedly managed the accounts where the stolen money was deposited.
During the alleged scheme, one victim was reportedly persuaded to sell their home and settle their divorce for a lump sum, as the divorce was deemed part of the 'bad energy.' The indictment indicates that the couple returned less than 6% of the total amount taken. The wife has a prior conviction for psychic fraud in Florida and Texas.
Authorities stated that even when the woman was incarcerated, co-conspirators allegedly continued the 'Jolene Travis' alias to maintain the fraudulent operation. The couple faces charges including conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, and multiple counts of wire and mail fraud. If convicted, they could face up to 20 years in prison.
