An 18-year-old British tourist is fighting for his life following a violent stabbing in Tenerife. The young man was attacked as he pursued a thief who had just violently robbed a female friend of her mobile phone.
He managed to confront the mugger behind a bar near Oasis, but was then stabbed. Emergency medical teams provided critical care at the scene before transferring the seriously injured tourist to Universitario Hospiten Sur Hospital. Local reports describe his condition as critical, with indications he was admitted to an intensive care unit.
As of Monday, police have not made any arrests and have deployed a specialist team to identify and apprehend the knife-wielding assailant.
